Functions and Duties
Strategic Leadership and Governanc
The Council provides visionary oversight and ensures alignment with the University’s mission and long-term goals through:
- Strategic Governance: Defining and upholding the University’s vision, mission, and strategic direction.
Leadership Appointments: Participating in the selection and evaluation of senior officers, including the vice chancellor. - Mission Integrity: Safeguarding the theological and ethical foundations of the institution in all decisions.
- Infrastructure and Innovation: Guiding the development of academic, digital, and physical infrastructure to support institutional growth.
Policy, Compliance, and Academic Oversigh
The Council ensures academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and institutional accountability through:
- Policy Oversight: Approving policies, statutes, and regulations governing academic and administrative operations.
- Academic Quality Assurance: Overseeing program development, academic standards, and quality assurance frameworks.
