Applicants
International applicants to the university are required to meet the same admissions standards and requirements as domestic students applying for our undergraduate or postgraduate programs. To be eligible for enrollment, candidates must submit a fully completed and signed application form. Furthermore, international applicants who have obtained their degree from an educational institution outside of the Republic of Zambia will need to submit original or certified sealed copies of their graduation certificate, academic transcript, or any other relevant documentation that confirms their successful completion of a secondary or postsecondary educational program equivalent to the qualifications awarded in Zambia.
Announcement: The application process for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs offered through Distance Learning is continuously open and available.
The University offers self-catering student accommodations on a first come first served basis. Inevitably, foreign students are given preference. You can book your accommodation online once 60% payment of your semester/Term fees has been deposited in the University account.
Justo Mwale University (JMU) has positioned the library to ensure that academic excellence is highlighted and students remain engaged through information literacy in various formats. Our library has 24200 volumes of books, individual educational programs connect to all the academic disciplines at JMU to prepare lifelong learners.
A study Permit is granted to a foreign national who intends to study at a recognized learning Institution in Zambia. Recognized learning Institutions are those that are registered with the Ministry of Education and accredited by the higher education authority
People planning to undertake formal studies at Justo Mwale University, a registered and accredited educational institution in Zambia, should apply for a Student Permit before traveling to Zambia.
Study permits are issued to Non-Zambians who come to study in Zambia. Applicants who are not residents of Zambia must submit their applications while outside the country and ensure they have obtained a study permit before reporting to Justo Mwale University.
NOTE: For those coming with families, ensure that you obtain permits for all your family members to avoid inconvenience.
- Complete the application form (form 20), and download it from the website
- Obtain two recent passport-size photographs
- Obtain a Police clearance from the applicant’s country of permanent residence. This applies to applicants who are applying from outside Zambia and are 18 years and above
- Photocopies of current passport;
- Letter of acceptance from the Institution/school;
- Status of the host, parent, or guardian if any;
- Chest X-Ray report
- Written cover letter to the Chief Immigration Officer
- Cover letter from the host/Institution
- Original Permit
- Latest results transcript/progress report
- Prescribed fee
- Application form 11 is Obtainable on the website
- Covering letter from the applicant addressed to the Director General, Immigration
- Acceptance letter from the new school
- Duly completed Form 9
