The School of Theology and Religion holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest school at Justo Mwale University, both in terms of faculty and student enrollment. It plays a vital role in the landscape of theological education in Zambia, actively engaging in several key networks designed to enhance theological training and ministry. As a member of the Association of Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA), the university is dedicated to maintaining high standards in theological education and fostering collaboration across the continent. Bachelor of Theology (B.Th)

This program seeks to equip candidates with a comprehensive and integrated understanding of theological disciplines, fostering both intellectual and spiritual growth. By the end of the program, candidates will have developed the necessary knowledge and skills in biblical languages, specialized in a chosen theological field, and acquired essential research competencies. Furthermore, they will cultivate a deep appreciation for the Reformed tradition, contextualize theological concepts within an African framework, and enhance their vocational and leadership skills for effective Christian ministry. Ultimately, the program aims to nurture mature and equipped individuals, prepared for mission and service in both society and the global context.

Diploma in Theology (Dip.Th)

This program is designed to prepare candidates for effective ordained ministry within the African context by fostering a holistic understanding of theology, practical application, and spiritual formation. Through the program, candidates will demonstrate proficiency in major theological disciplines, cultivate a comprehensive identity within the Reformed tradition, and acquire essential vocational and leadership skills necessary for the ministry of the Word. Certificate in Theology (Cert.Th)
