The Academic Affairs Office, operating within the Registrar’s Department, is an integral unit that provides essential administrative support to the academic operations of Justo Mwale University. Its scope of responsibility covers both undergraduate and postgraduate affairs, encompassing tasks such as promoting and advertising academic programs offered each academic year, managing the admission process, facilitating student registration, overseeing examinations, and organizing graduation ceremonies. As a custodian of academic policies enacted by the Senate, the Academic Affairs Office ensures compliance and adherence to these policies. Additionally, the office safeguards all students’ records, guaranteeing their confidentiality and accurate storage.
Headed by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), the Academic Affairs Office consists of two distinctive sections. The Admissions and Examinations section assumes responsibility for managing the university’s admission and examination processes. This section further oversees the preparation and execution of graduation ceremonies, including the issuance of certificates and transcripts of results. It also serves as the designated custodian of students’ records, ensuring their safekeeping and accessibility.
