Academic Affairs Office at Justo Mwale University
The Academic Affairs Office, situated within the Registrar’s Department, serves as a pivotal unit that provides comprehensive administrative support to the academic undertakings of Justo Mwale University. Its remit encompasses both undergraduate and postgraduate affairs, entailing crucial tasks such as:
1. Promoting and advertising academic programs offered each academic year.
2. Managing the admission process, ensuring seamless student onboarding.
3. Facilitating student registration to guarantee timely commencement of studies.
4. Overseeing examinations and evaluations to maintain academic excellence.
5. Organizing graduation ceremonies to commemorate students’ academic achievements.
As the custodian of academic policies enacted by the Senate, the Academic Affairs Office diligently promotes compliance and adherence to these policies, upholding the university’s values and standards. Moreover, the office safeguards all students’ records, ensuring confidentiality and accurate storage, in accordance with relevant data protection regulations.
Led by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), the Academic Affairs Office is comprised of two distinct sections:
1. Admissions and Examinations Section
This section is responsible for managing the university’s admission and examination processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of students through their academic journey. The section also oversees the preparation and execution of graduation ceremonies, encompassing:
* Issuance of certificates and transcripts of results.
* Safeguarding and maintaining accessibility of students’ records.
By providing essential administrative support and maintaining academic integrity, the Academic Affairs Office remains an indispensable component of Justo Mwale University’s success.
